I'm lying of course! There is no way that this new film can even muster 25% of Juno's acclaim... Worth watching? I'm so impressed with Amanda Seyfried that I look forward to any of her movies (especially Chloe, where she'll pitt talents with Julianne Moore), even this one, probably the film that will bring shivers down her spine years from now. Jennifer's Body also features (in the lead role, of course!) the darling of today's celeb trash media, the one-and-only Megan Fox.

 - - - |
Just watching the trailer, I am absolutely certain that Ms. Fox's body will be 'celebrated' throughout the movie's course - in various state of undress! Which is, of course, a good thing! Oh, I was even rooting for Megan to make a mistake and burn her tongue - that's probably my favorite scene so far... It's so funny, I'm horrified! Well, if that happens, it would be a tragedy of immense proportion - how on Earth can she speak again and do another series of no-holds-barred monologue touching on such awesome topics as marijuana and the ongoing discourse regarding her pursuit to become a well-known and respected actress.

A dark spy-comedy from Academy Award winners Joel and Ethan Coen. An ousted CIA official’s (Academy Award nominee John Malkovich) memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees intent on exploiting their find.
- - -

- - -
That's the official synopsis of Burn After Reading, the follow-up movie from the Coen brothers, who definitely made waves with their film, No Country for Old Men, having won many awards at the recent Oscars.
More About the Movie: The February 2008 issue of Empire Magazine has this to say about the movie: "Malkovich is Ozzie Cox, a fired CIA vet who takes his revenge by writing some inflammatory memoirs and then loses them. George Clooney is a fellow spy investigating the matter, who meets Francis McDormand via computer dating, who runs a gym where Brad Pitt works. "

Updates: We last reported about this new movie back in 2007. In March this year, it will finally be in theatres! I would expect both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Channing Tatum to do awesome, since both have been doing great. Levitt is of course, a big big tMF favorite and Tatum, who was so terrific in A Guide to Recognizing your Saints was listed in our top 50 hottest young actors. Hopefully Ryan Philippe can also deliver. Not that we doubt him, he was quite good in last year's Breach.

Kimberly Peirce, the innovative director who made headlines with Boys Don't Cry, is generally credited with making Hillary Swank one of the most sought-after actors today. Peirce also propelled Chloë Sevigny into the A-list of young actresses ready to take on challenging and exciting roles from indie filmmakers.

The dynamic duo of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp is simply...awesome! In their latest project, they succeeded in bringing to the screen the magic and the horror of The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
One film reviewer even went to the extreme and declared:
"Perhaps the greatest director and actor duo in film history, Burton and Depp again show us what can be achieved on the big screen."
Even Time has this to say: "Burton and Depp infuse the brilliant cold steel of Stephen Sondheim's score with a burning passion. Helena Bonham Carter and a superb supporting cast bring focused fury to this musical nightmare. It's bloody great."
Says the Hollywood Reporter: "The blood juxtaposed to the music is highly unsettling. It runs contrary to expectations. Burton pushes this gore into his audiences' faces so as to feel the madness and the destructive fury of Sweeney's obsession. Teaming with Depp, his long-time alter ego, Burton makes Sweeney a smoldering dark pit of fury and hate that consumes itself. With his sturdy acting and surprisingly good voice, Depp is a Sweeney Todd for the ages."
...but let us say the last word:
"Sweeney Todd is rare cinema that creates a world consisting of greed, love, vengeance, rivalries, obsession, evil, delicious pies and did I say it’s all wrapped up in a musical? I didn’t want this movie to end. "

What happens when two amazing and talented actors are put together in one film? Fireworks and lots of great movie scenes, of course! We just can't wait to see the new Edward Norton-Colin Farrel film, Pride and Glory. The film is described as "a generational drama about a family of police officers in New York torn apart by a corruption scandal. "

This movie was supposed to star Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany and Eva Green, but eventually the two male leads were given to 'younger, fresher' but not necessarily better, actors. However, there might be a reason behind the preference for the younger, 'more exciting' actors the producers demanded. Eva Green was retained, and now actors Sam Riley (Control) and Ryan Philippe are playing the lead roles.
Sam Riley, fresh from the acclaim he received from Anton Corbijn's Control is "a heartbroken thirty-something desperately trying to find a way back to the purity of first love," while Philippe is "a masked vigilante detective, searching for his nemesis on the streets of Meanwhile City, a monolithic fantasy metropolis ruthlessly governed by faith and religious fervor..." Eva Green plays an art student.

Expect the best films to come out this December! If there is one film that truly brings in the excitement, it's none other than the latest teaming up between actor Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton - Sweeney Todd! This is the sixth collaboration between the two and also stars Helena Bonham-Carter (another Burton favorite) and Alan Rickman.
- - -
What's the movie about?: Based on the Stephen Sondheim musical of the same name, Tim Burton's film adaptation stars Johnny Depp as "the demon barber of Fleet Street," Sweeney Todd.
After being wrongfully accused and sent away to Australia for fifteen years, Sweeney Todd (aka Benjamin Barker) returns to London. He find that his wife Lucy (Laura Michelle Kelly) and daughter Johanna (Jayne Wisener) have suffered severely at the hands of the very man who imprisoned him, Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman). With the assistance of his former landlady, Mrs. Nellie Lovett (Helena Bonham-Carter) of Lovett's Pies - the worst meat pies in London - Sweeney devises a plan to revenge his unjust imprisonment and the sad fate of his family.

Anakin Skywalker meets Billy Elliot! Based on Steven Gould's novel, Jumper stars Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, Rachel Bilson and Jamie Bell. Directed by Doug Liman, the same one who took the helm and delivered the highly sucessful Bourne series.
The science-fiction adventure film take us into the world of teleportation and the battle between the Jumpers (individuals who have the power to teleport) and the Paladins, a dedicated group of warrior-like individuals who search and kill jumpers around the world.
This will be the first time for Christensen and Bell to perform together. Both have been hailed by critics and moviegoers alike as two of today's most talented young actors.
